Zach Scheiner is a Principal on the Investment Team at RA Capital Management, based out of the firm’s Boston presence while the platform is headquartered in California. His typical check size is $100K–$5.0M, with a sweet spot of about $1.5M, across seed to later private rounds in biotech, therapeutics and medical devices, as well as related healthcare technologies in the Boston / New England ecosystem. He works on both public and private investments and serves as a board director for multiple portfolio companies including Exo Imaging, LENZ Therapeutics, Nkarta Therapeutics, Adagio Medical, SpyGlass Pharma and Sydnexis. Previously he was a Science Officer at the California Institute for Regenerative Medicine, and he holds a B.S. in molecular biophysics and biochemistry from Yale University and a Ph.D. in neurobiology and behavior from the University of Washington.
