Yuji Takei is a Partner on Bain Capital’s Asia Pacific Private Equity team in Tokyo. He focuses on consumer internet, retail and fintech businesses, typically leading leveraged buyouts and growth-equity deals with investment sizes in the $1M to $100.0M range and a sweet spot around $25.0M. His work spans sourcing, executing and overseeing investments across a range of Japanese industries. Before Bain Capital he was COO and head of the investment division at Japan Industrial Solutions, and earlier a senior partner at Advantage Partners as well as a partner at A.T. Kearney and a manager at McKinsey & Company; he holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a law degree from the University of Tokyo.
