William Miller is an Associate and venture specialist at StepStone Group, where he concentrates on early-stage and emerging managers while also investing as an angel. He focuses on AR/VR, GovTech, games, hardware, robotics, material science, AutoTech, construction tech, smart cities and broader deeptech from pre-seed to Series B, usually with personal and syndicate checks in the $3K–$200K range. Earlier in his career he operated in public markets and founded the Purple State app, giving him a cross-over public–private markets perspective on technology and policy-related startups.
