Wei Gao is a Venture Partner at Madrona Venture Group, based in the Seattle area, working with founders on product, go-to-market and operations. She typically invests $100K–$5.0M at seed and Series A across e-commerce, consumer internet, enterprise software, analytics, advertising and media/marketplaces. Before Madrona, she spent more than 20 years in operating roles, including serving as Chief Operating Officer at Hopin and earlier as a long-time Amazon executive, where she was a technical advisor (“shadow”) to Jeff Bezos and held VP roles in grocery, Prime and product organizations. Her work now blends hands-on operating mentorship with early-stage investing in Pacific Northwest and broader US founders.
