Uya Chuluunbaatar is a Partner at Avoro Ventures and serves as a board director at Hemab Therapeutics, after previously working as Principal at Amzak Health Investors. Her investing has focused on medical devices, therapeutics, digital health, health IT and broader health & hospital services from pre-seed through Series B, with typical checks in the $100K to $5.0M range during her time at Amzak. She has over a decade of experience across biotech venture capital, public equity investing, technology transfer and academic research. Earlier in her career she covered large- and mid-cap biotech as an equity research analyst at Goldman Sachs. She holds a PhD in Microbiology from New York University School of Medicine and a BS in Biochemistry from Cornell University.
