Tristan Tao is a Venture Partner at Pioneer Fund, investing primarily at pre-seed and seed, with follow-on into Series A, in data-heavy B2B software, analytics and workflow tools, generally writing $200K to $300K checks. His portfolio interests span enterprise SaaS, analytics, developer-adjacent tools and productivity infrastructure. Tao is the founder of Hyperarc and previously co-founded Leada, where he served as CTO, building data-driven education and analytics products; he has also held engineering and data roles at several technology companies after studying computer science at the University of California.
