Tomohiro (Tomoharu) Hirayama is an Operating Partner in the Portfolio Group at Bain Capital Private Equity, based in Tokyo, and works across the Asia Pacific portfolio. He supports value-creation efforts in technology- and data-intensive businesses, often in industrial and services sectors, typically within sizeable buyout and growth-equity transactions in the $1M to $100.0M range. His focus includes analytics-led performance improvement and digital transformation inside portfolio companies. Before joining Bain Capital in 2021 he was a partner at McKinsey & Company and led QuantumBlack in Japan, giving him deep experience in advanced analytics and AI-driven operations.
