Tom Vanhoutte is a Partner and Co-Founder of imec.xpand, based in Leuven, Belgium. He has helped build the firm around the idea of supporting ambitious technology companies with strong innovation potential. His investment focus includes payments, particularly businesses developing advanced solutions for the financial and digital transaction sectors. He works with companies across Seed, Series A, and Series B, supporting them as they grow from early concepts into scalable businesses. As a founding partner, he plays an important role in investment decisions, portfolio strategy, and the long-term direction of the firm. imec.xpand generally invests between $1 million and $15 million, with a typical deal size of approximately $5 million, and Tom is known to lead investment rounds.
