Timothy Wang is Managing Partner at The Westly Group, where he leads early- and growth-stage investments—particularly Series A and B—in sectors such as clean tech, energy tech, mobility, and cybersecurity, with typical check sizes ranging from $5 million to $15 million (sweet spot around $10 million). He joined the firm in 2016, advanced through the ranks to Managing Partner, and has spearheaded notable investments including Luminar, Optimal Dynamics, RapidSOS, and TREX. Before joining The Westly Group, he held roles in business development at Capital IQ, ChinaScope Financial, and others, combined with an MBA from USC and a BA from Brown University.
