About Investor

Thomas Moon is an Investment Director at UCLA Investment Company, responsible for the university endowment’s venture capital portfolio. He focuses on backing early-stage venture funds and tech-focused managers globally, with multi-million-dollar, institutional-scale commitments rather than small direct seed cheques; previously, within Sapphire Partners at Sapphire Ventures, he helped commit over $150M per year into early-stage VC funds across the US, Europe and Israel. His sector exposure spans enterprise software, SaaS, data infrastructure, security, AI and digital health via the fund-of-funds strategies he oversees. Earlier in his career he worked on the Tufts University Investment Office team underwriting private markets strategies, and he holds a BA in Economics from Tufts and is a CFA charterholder.
