Ted (Theodore) Schlein is founding partner and general partner at Ballistic Ventures and also a partner/advisor at Kleiner Perkins. At Ballistic, he focuses on cybersecurity companies, predominantly at pre-seed, seed and Series A and beyond, typically backing early-stage ventures with investments that can scale up to around $150.0M across follow-on rounds. Schlein has over three decades of venture capital experience, known for leading cybersecurity and infrastructure investments such as ArcSight, Mandiant, LifeLock and others during his tenure at Kleiner Perkins. He is widely recognized as a leading cybersecurity investor and continues to chair Ballistic as it raises and deploys specialized cyber-focused funds.
