Tarek Waked is Managing Partner at Type One Ventures in Los Angeles and San Francisco, writing $100K–$5M checks into seed and Series A deep tech, AI, space, robotics, AR/VR, and health IT companies. His most recent publicly noted investments include board-level involvement at Space Forge and Gravitics. He started as a licensed financial advisor at Morgan Stanley, later co-founding tech startups in Latin America and launching his own incubator before founding Type One to support ventures pushing humanity toward a Type One civilization.
