Tara Bansal is General Partner, Strategy & Investment Research at DeltaTerra Investments, a role she has held since December 2024. She previously spent five years (2019-2024) as Investment Principal & Company Builder at Breakthrough Energy Ventures, a $2.5B AUM climate fund, focusing on Carbon Dioxide Removal (CDR), food and agriculture, and climate adaptation across electricity, transportation, agriculture, manufacturing, and buildings, with typical investment ranges between $500K and $50.0M, managing a portfolio of over 100 companies and helping deploy more than $2 billion in capital. She also served as an Advisor at Hyperdrive Studio (since January 2024). Earlier in her career, she was a Consultant at McKinsey & Company and a Research Lead at Jana Urban Space, and conducted global health research with the World Health Organization. She holds a BA with Highest Distinction in Public Policy and Global Health from Duke University.
