Tabreez Verjee is a Partner at Uprising, focusing on investments in GovTech, Travel, Games, Social Commerce, Impact, Analytics, ClimateTech/CleanTech, Education, Consumer Health, and Health & Hospital Services at the Seed and Pre-seed stages. He co-founded Uprising to invest in technology entrepreneurs who see their companies as vehicles to serve the whole, and was a founding board member and early funder at Kiva.org. Growing up in Brazil before moving to various Midwest cities and settling in the San Francisco Bay Area, he studied at the University of California, Berkeley and has backed companies including Lyft, Calm, Andela, ClassDojo, and Devoted Health.
