Stefan Gabriel is the CEO and Managing Director at Hitachi Ventures, based in Munich. He invests in technology companies with strategic relevance to Hitachi across areas such as energy, mobility/transportation, industrial and digital technologies (including AI), and adjacent domains like life sciences, typically spanning Seed and Series A (and broader early-stage/growth), with a typical investment range of $100K to $5.0M. He founded Hitachi Ventures in 2019 and has led corporate venturing efforts for decades. Prior to Hitachi Ventures, he was President of 3M New Ventures and held strategy and innovation leadership roles at BMW Group.
