Spike Laurie is a partner (venture director) at Hiro Capital, where he backs games, esports, creator-economy and metaverse-adjacent companies across the UK, Europe and the US. His investments are typically at post-seed, Series A and Series B, writing checks in the low- to mid-seven-figure range into content studios, game-tech infrastructure, and digital sports/fitness platforms. Prior to joining Hiro, he spent years in the games industry, including senior roles at ESL (esports) and Warner Bros., and has experience as both operator and angel in the gaming ecosystem. This mix of studio, esports and investing experience makes him a go-to partner for founders building in games and interactive entertainment.
