Sofia Guerra serves as Vice President at Bessemer Venture Partners, where she invests in seed to growth healthcare and life sciences companies, including BioTech, Health IT, Health & Hospital Services, and Digital Health across seed, Series A, and Series B stages, with investment ranges typically between $50K and $100.0M. Her background includes starting her career as a consultant at Bain and Company working on strategy, operations, and due diligence projects across healthcare and technology, followed by an investor role at BoxGroup Ventures. Guerra was also the co-founder and co-president of Nucleate, a national life sciences entrepreneurship program helping PhDs, Post-docs, and students commercialize scientific projects. She earned her MBA from Harvard Business School and her BA with high honors in Chemistry from Harvard University, where she conducted research alongside renowned serial entrepreneur Bob Langer.
