Sid Shenai is a Venture Partner at Madrona Venture Group, where he concentrates on seed and Series A investments at the intersection of AI, life sciences and diagnostics. He backs pre-seed and seed companies in medical devices and biotech, typically writing or supporting checks in the $500K–$10.0M range. He is also co-founder and former CEO of Proof Diagnostics, a Broad Institute spin-out developing portable molecular diagnostic systems, which was acquired in 2023. Earlier in his career he worked in healthcare and biotech product roles and holds scientific and business training that bridges biology and technology.
