Shuo Mao is a Vice President at Qiming Venture Partners in Beijing, where he focuses on healthcare and technology investments. His typical check size is in the $100K–$5.0M range, with a sweet spot around $1.5M, backing seed through Series B companies across AI, robotics, transportation tech, digital health, education, social networks and Web3/infrastructure. His background includes management consulting at IQVIA, where he advised healthcare clients on portfolio, market-access and commercialization strategy, before joining Qiming in 2015. He holds dual master’s degrees in Technical Entrepreneurship & Management and Electrical Engineering from the University of Rochester, as well as an undergraduate degree from Tsinghua University.
