Seiji Miyahara is Partner & Senior Investment Director at Taiho Ventures, the corporate venture arm of Taiho Pharmaceutical, based in Menlo Park. He invests in therapeutics, biotech, pharmaceuticals, health & hospital services, and related manufacturing at pre-seed, seed and early clinical stages, typically in the $100K to $5.0M range. Miyahara joined Taiho Ventures in 2016 and is responsible for investment sourcing, due diligence, new company creation and open innovation initiatives, and he sits as board member or observer on several portfolio companies. He brings more than 18 years of life sciences experience across R&D, company formation and venture capital.
