About Investor

Sangwoo Lee is a managing director at Korea Investment Partners, heading the firm’s North America office and Korea Investment Partners US Inc. His investment activity centers on therapeutics, biotechnology and pharmaceuticals across Seed, Series A and Series B, with typical check sizes between $100K and $5.0M and a sweet spot around $1.5M. He specializes in IT, electronics and life sciences-related technologies, and has led or participated in multiple cross-border biotech and therapeutics rounds. Before joining Korea Investment Partners, he held engineering and leadership roles at Samsung Electronics, Dasan Internet, Neomtel and Polidigm, combining hands-on software, networking and hardware experience with strategic planning. He holds BS and MS degrees in electrical engineering from Seoul National University and pursued doctoral studies in electrical and computer engineering at the University of Texas at Austin.
