Sandro Patti is the founder and Chief Investment Officer of Valiant Asset Management, an alternative credit manager focused on Western European corporate borrowers, and was previously a partner in Bain Capital’s European corporate distressed & special situations team. His investing centers on private credit and special-situations capital for mid-market companies, typically at growth and restructuring stages, often involving complex capital structures and bespoke instruments rather than classic VC rounds. The transactions he has led or structured include large hybrid-capital and structured-equity deals, such as nine-figure financings for consumer and industrial groups. Before launching Valiant, he spent around six years at Bain Capital Credit, building a track record in European distressed and opportunistic credit.
