Sandra Pérez Baos, PhD, is a Senior Associate at 2048 Ventures, a thesis-driven, earliest-stage venture capital firm backing founders building businesses differentiated through data and technology across North America and the UK. She focuses on Material Science, Pharmaceuticals, Drug Delivery, BioTech, Health & Hospital Services, Health IT, Diagnostics, Digital Health, and Therapeutics at pre-seed and seed stages, with checks between $500K and $3.0M, and has recently expanded her thesis to include reproductive longevity, biobanking infrastructure, vertical robotics, and vertical AI. Prior to 2048 Ventures, she was part of the founding leadership team at Nucleate New York, a fellow with NYU Technology Opportunities and Ventures, and helped launch a therapeutics startup during her postdoctoral fellowship at NYU Grossman School of Medicine, where she led foundational research on T cell reprogramming in cancer and autoimmunity and secured NIH R01 funding. She holds a PhD in Molecular Biosciences from the Autonomous University of Madrid, an MS in Immunology from Complutense University of Madrid, and a BS in Biotechnology from the University of Salamanca. She is based in New York.
