Ryan Cotton is a Partner at Bain Capital in Boston, where he leads Bain Capital Real Estate and remains a senior leader in Bain Capital Private Equity’s global consumer vertical. His external VC-style profile shows investments across insurance, real estate/proptech and fintech from seed to Series B, most commonly in the $1M–$100.0M range. At Bain he has been instrumental in many of the firm’s largest consumer and real-estate transactions and chairs or serves on several investment committees. He joined Bain Capital in 2003 after earlier experience in consulting and finance, and now combines hands-on operating engagement with long-term sector specialization in consumer and real assets.
