Roderick Verhelst is a Partner at Bioqube Ventures, where he focuses on early-stage therapeutics and life sciences companies across Europe. He invests mainly at pre-seed and seed, occasionally Series A, in sectors such as biotech, pharmaceuticals, digital health, health IT, and broader health & hospital services, typically writing checks in the $100K to $5M range. His background spans more than a decade of life science investing, including a prior role at PMV where he helped form, finance, and exit companies like GST, Bluebee, Dualyx, and Flamingo Therapeutics, and has served on multiple biotech boards. Earlier in his career he was an equity research analyst at Degroof Petercam covering European biotech IPOs, and he holds a PhD in Bioengineering from KU Leuven plus an MBA from the Solvay Brussels School of Economics & Management.
