Robina von Stein is a principal at Contrarian Ventures, the early-stage climate fund focused on Europe and Israel. Her investment interests center on technologies tied to decarbonization, including flexibility markets and energy efficiency in compute, and the firm focuses on pre-seed and seed rounds with typical ticket sizes of €1 million to €4 million. Before joining Contrarian in 2022, she founded RE-NT, a company helping textile businesses transition to circular-economy models through a sustainable materials database. She is based in Munich and also serves on the startup advisory board of dena, Germany’s energy agency.
