Robert Giles is Managing Director at CE Venture Capital in Calgary and sits on the firm’s investment committee, overseeing portfolio construction and risk management. He invests $250K to $5.0M, with a sweet spot around $750K, into early-stage analytics, AI, data infrastructure, biotech, security, SaaS and other “intelligent systems” across North America, Israel and LatAm. His career spans more than 25 years across venture capital, private equity, investment banking and corporate advisory, giving him deep experience in due diligence, deal origination and structuring. CE Venture Capital itself focuses on high-potential clean energy, biotech, health and smart-technology startups, which shapes his mandate.
