Richard Lin is a Venture Investor at Smash Capital, a New York- and Los Angeles-based fund with over $1.5B in assets under management focused on growth-stage technology. He typically invests between $100K and $5M in Seed through Series B rounds across consumer internet, games and gaming/esports, entertainment and sports, marketplaces and fintech. His work includes investments in companies such as Pearl, ElevenLabs and Flatpay, alongside other high-growth software and consumer businesses. Before joining Smash Capital, Lin was an investment manager at AirTree Ventures focusing on growth-stage software and consumer internet, and previously worked as a management consultant at Bain & Company. He also co-founded and served as CEO of an online marketplace business that was later sold in an acquisition.
