Richard Charles works as Alpine Capital’s Venture Partner for US sourcing and is based in New York. He focuses on identifying early-stage opportunities in AI and the Food and Beverage sector. His investment activity is concentrated on Pre-seed and Seed companies that are still developing their products, teams, and initial customer bases. He generally works with investment opportunities ranging from $50K to $500K, with a preferred ticket of around $200K. Although he does not normally lead investment rounds, he plays an important role in connecting Alpine Capital with promising US-based founders. His work includes evaluating market potential, introducing companies to the wider investment team, and supporting early conversations. Through this sourcing role, he expands Alpine Capital’s access to innovation beyond the European market.
