About Investor

Phil Loughlin is a Senior Advisor to Bain Capital Private Equity's team in Boston, having previously served as a Partner and Global Head of the Financial & Business Services vertical and a member of the Consumer vertical. He joined Bain Capital in 1996 and spent nearly three decades as an active dealmaker backing founder-led and consumer-facing businesses, including leading investments in SquareTrade and Envestnet's $4.5 billion take-private transaction. He now focuses primarily on board service, serving as a director of Bob's Discount Furniture, Fogo de Chão, Envestnet, Guidehouse, esure Group, Sizzling Platter, and The Original Cakerie Co., among others. Earlier in his career, he was a consultant at Bain & Company and held operating roles at Eagle Snacks and Norton Company. He holds an MBA from Harvard Business School, where he was a Baker Scholar, and an AB from Dartmouth College, graduating cum laude.
