Paul Seidler is Managing Director at Evergreen Climate Innovations (formerly Clean Energy Trust), where he oversees the fund’s climate-tech investment activities and portfolio from Chicago. His typical check size is in the $200K–$300K range, backing seed and early Series A companies in climate and energy, including AgTech, grid and “hardtech” solutions, with a geographic emphasis on the U.S. Midwest. He has participated in 30-plus transactions and serves or has served as director or observer on more than a dozen portfolio-company boards, helping those teams structure follow-on fundraising and institutional capital access. His public writing and commentary often highlight opportunities in grid-adjacent hardtech and climate materials, including companies like MITO Material Solutions and other manufacturing- and materials-driven climate startups. Before stepping into the MD role he grew within Clean Energy Trust’s team and is now regarded as a key voice among U.S. climate and hardtech investors.
