Paul Ragsdale is the General Partner and founder of Pure Driving Fund, a specialist early-stage automotive and enthusiast-economy venture firm based in Alexandria, Virginia. He usually invests $50K–$2.0M per deal, with a typical check around $250K, backing seed and Series A companies in auto tech, transportation, enthusiast retail and services, marketplaces, Web3/blockchain, DTC and creator/passion-economy plays. His stated focus is “early-stage automotive retail and services companies” serving ultra-enthusiastic customers, and his portfolio includes pre-seed and seed investments such as RSC Motors and other automotive-centric startups. Before Pure Driving Fund he was a serial automotive founder, including Founder & CEO of RSC Motors and team owner of the RSC Chimera racing program, following an earlier career as Director of International Cooperative Programs at the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s Science & Technology Directorate.
