Patri Friedman serves as Founder and General Partner at Pronomos Capital, where he focuses on pre-seed and seed stage investments in GovTech, Messaging, Impact, Real Estate/PropTech, Education, E-commerce, Enterprise, SaaS, and FinTech sectors, with investment ranges typically between $250K and $1.5M. His background includes 10 years as a software engineer at Google starting in 2004, running the angel fund ZIG since 2011, and founding The Seasteading Institute in 2008 with seed funding from Peter Thiel. Friedman has made notable personal investments including Palantir (2009) and Matterport (2011), both of which went public, and he holds degrees in Math from Harvey Mudd, Computer Science from Stanford, and an MBA.
