Cifuentes is a recognized business leader in the genomics field with extensive operational experience in developing cutting-edge technologies and introducing disruptive products into the market, having held positions at UCSF as a Postdoctoral Researcher, Agilent Technologies, Affymetrix, Nanostring, Thermo Fisher, Natera, and LAM Research before joining Genoa Ventures, and he holds a Ph.D. in Genetics from the Autonomous University of Madrid.
