Owen Chapey is a Principal on the Insurance team at Bain Capital, concentrating on Web3/Crypto, E-commerce, Real Estate/PropTech, FinTech, Health & Hospital Services, and Enterprise Applications at seed, Series A, and Series B stages, with checks between $100K and $5.0M. He joined Bain Capital in 2021 as an Associate, and was subsequently promoted to Vice President and then Principal. He previously worked as an Associate at Lovell Minnick Partners, a private equity firm investing in financial and business services companies, and before that as an Analyst in the Financial Institutions Group at Lazard, and began his career at Olsen Palmer, a boutique investment bank focused on depositories. He holds a BA in Political Economy from Georgetown University.
