Omar Hakim, P.E., co-founded the Aggie Angel Network in 2010 and served as its first full-time Executive Director until November 2013, screening over 900 startup companies and helping the network invest over $7.5 million into sixteen companies; he currently serves on its board. He is a Professor of Practice at Texas A&M University, teaching entrepreneurship and technology commercialization, and is currently CEO of Waterloo Solutions, a material sciences company known for its diamond metamaterial, Qrystal, used across defense, semiconductor, and product authentication sectors. He is a serial entrepreneur, having founded multiple companies, including Minim and Convedo, with both ventures being acquired, and previously led Ellansalabs, Aquadation, and Oui Agree. He is a registered Professional Engineer in Texas.
