Motokazu Suwa is the Head of the Investment Office at Toyota Invention Partners and is based in Tokyo, Japan. He focuses on DeepTech, space, AI, and robotics companies from the Pre-seed stage through Series A. His investment work centers on scientifically advanced technologies, innovations for the space economy, intelligent systems, and robotic products and automation. Motokazu typically invests between $500K and $10M, with a preferred ticket of approximately $5M. As a lead investor, he plays an active role in company selection, transaction structuring, financing decisions, and portfolio strategy. Through Toyota Invention Partners, he supports technically ambitious founders as they commercialize complex innovations and prepare for scalable growth.
