Mona Alsubaei is a Partner at Transition, a climate tech venture capital firm that recently raised a €128 million Fund II for early-stage AI and physical world companies, and has backed unicorn Watershed. She previously served on the investment team at Union Square Ventures (2021-2023), focused on USV's climate fund, working on thesis development, sourcing, due diligence, and supporting companies including Lithos Carbon, Molten Industries, Remora, and Anthro Energy, with checks between $5.0M and $20.0M at seed and Series A. Before her venture capital career, Mona worked at CrossBoundary, an emerging markets investment advisory firm, expanding its presence in the Middle East and Central Asia, and earlier as a Private Equity Analyst at Abraaj Capital and Policy Advisor at the United Nations. She holds an MBA from Stanford University Graduate School of Business, a Master of International Affairs from Columbia University, and a bachelor's degree from King AbdulAziz University.
