About Investor

Mikihiro Yasuda serves as Founding/General Partner at Hike Ventures, a San Francisco- and Tokyo-based early-stage fund focused on applied AI and machine learning startups across the US, Canada, and Japan, a role he has held since 2017. He typically invests at pre-seed and seed stages across Local Services, Advertising, Payments, Food and Beverage, AgTech, IoT, AI, E-commerce, Marketplaces, and SaaS, with checks between $50K and $1M. He is a trained executive and entrepreneur who started his career as a programmer, holding executive roles at Netscape, and later serving as a board member and CTO/COO at Kakaku.com, where he built the tech team and led new business development. He also led international operations at Digital Garage, was CEO of Open Network Lab, and joined DeNA San Francisco (2014-2017) to lead its early-stage investment activity before co-founding Hike Ventures. He serves on the boards of Nextnet and the Digital Health Hub Foundation. He holds a BS from Rochester Institute of Technology and an MBA from McGill University. He is based in San Francisco, California.
