Mike Sigal is a longtime early-stage fintech investor and advisor, currently running Sigal Ventures and co-founding Upside Partners, a consultancy helping institutions build innovation capabilities. As an angel and fund investor he typically writes $25K to $500K checks at pre-seed and seed into fintech, insurtech, compliance, marketing tech, web3/blockchain, infrastructure and AI, often backing companies that transform financial services. Previously he was a Partner at 500 Startups’ fintech fund and accelerator, where he helped drive over 200 fintech investments globally, including well-known companies such as Stripe and Grab. Earlier in his career he founded and exited multiple startups and now frequently speaks and advises on fintech, regulation and startup–corporate collaboration.
