Michiko Kato is the Representative Director and CEO of Toyota Invention Partners and is based in Tokyo, Japan. She focuses on ClimateTech and CleanTech, space, and DeepTech companies from the Pre-seed stage through Series A. Her investment interests include technologies that improve sustainability and climate resilience, innovations developed for the space economy, and research-driven products with commercial potential. Michiko generally invests between $500K and $10M, with a preferred commitment of approximately $5M. As a lead investor, she contributes directly to company selection, technical evaluation, transaction execution, and portfolio strategy. At Toyota Invention Partners, she supports advanced technology founders as they commercialize innovative solutions and pursue scalable growth.
