Michael Siefke is a Partner at Bain Capital (Private Equity) in Munich, serving as Chair of Europe Private Equity and leading the Industrials vertical globally. His investment work focuses on large-cap private equity in mature companies, including very large buyouts and related transaction types, with equity investments typically in the €150 million to €1 billion range. Before Bain Capital, he worked at The Carlyle Group in Germany and earlier was an assistant lecturer at Westfaelische-Wilhelms-University specializing in accounting, auditing, and finance. He joined Bain Capital in 2001 and holds a summa cum laude PhD as well as an MBA from Westfaelische-Wilhelms-University.
