Max Brickman is Founder & Managing Partner at Heartland Ventures, a venture capital firm focused on connecting high-growth coastal startups with established corporate partners in the US Heartland. He typically backs B2B software and tech-enabled companies in areas such as govtech, HRTech, agtech, logistics, manufacturing, IoT and real estate/proptech at seed and Series A stages, with checks in the roughly $250K–$1M range. His investing model centers on pairing portfolio companies with strategic customers rather than just providing capital. Before launching Heartland Ventures, he built his own businesses and gained experience in real estate and startup investing, giving him a founder-operator perspective in his VC work.
