Matthew “Matt” Harris holds the role of Partner on the Ventures team at Bain Capital Ventures, based in New York. He specializes in FinTech, targeting areas such as payments, lending, capital markets, insurance, real estate, and embedded finance, investing across Seed to growth-stage rounds with a range of $1 M–$100 M. He began his career on Bain Capital’s North America Private Equity team, founded Village Ventures (early-stage VC, 2000–2012), and rejoined Bain Capital Ventures in 2012; he also serves as a trustee of Williams College and sits on several nonprofit boards.
