Matt Miller is the Founding General Partner at Headwater Ventures in Minneapolis, where he invests in early-stage companies—especially health IT, digital health, insurtech, enterprise applications, AI, generative tech, and insurance—typically writing checks between $100 K and $500 K with a sweet spot near $300 K. His background includes roles as Managing Director at UnitedHealthcare Accelerator and Techstars, and prior to that, founder of Running Therapy and leadership in behavioral science at J&J’s StayWell and Perk Health. He holds a PhD and has cultivated deep expertise in behavior science, mental health, and startup mentoring.
