Matt Freeman is a Partner (Managing Director) at Bain Capital in Boston and a member of the North America Private Equity team, where he leads growth efforts for the global PE portfolio. He invests across technology, consumer, retail, healthcare and financial-services businesses, typically in growth and buyout deals; for earlier-stage or growth-equity allocations he is associated with check sizes in the $100K–$5.0M band. His career prior to Bain Capital was in global advertising and digital media: he founded and served as CEO of Tribal DDB/Tribal Worldwide, was CEO of IPG Mediabrands Ventures and was Global Vice Chairman of McCann Erickson. He also serves on boards and advisory bodies including the American Red Cross of Massachusetts.
