Matt Cannan is a Partner on the Insurance team at Bain Capital in Boston. He focuses on insurance and broader financial services investments, including platforms and balance-sheet businesses, generally at growth and buyout stages with equity commitments that, on the smaller end, fall in the $1M–$100.0M range. His work has included building Bain Capital’s dedicated insurance investing platform and previously serving on the Credit team focused on insurance and financials, as well as helping establish the firm’s credit business in Asia while based in Hong Kong. He joined Bain Capital in 2012 after earlier roles in credit and financial markets.
