Maria Buitron is a Principal at Piva Capital (San Francisco Bay Area), where she backs “industry-transforming” companies across EnergyTech, TransportationTech, Manufacturing, and ConstructionTech, with a strong tilt toward industrial + climate/deep-tech. Her typical stage focus is Seed and Series A (with selective participation into Series B when the opportunity fits the platform’s mandate). Her stated investment range is $100K – $5.0M. Before Piva, she worked in Schlumberger Business Consulting (later Accenture Strategy Energy) on energy-sector strategy and spent time at Stem Inc. in business development, and she holds a Chemical Engineering degree (Tecnológico de Monterrey) plus an MBA from UC Berkeley Haas.
