About Investor

Marguerite de Tavernost is an Investment Director at Cathay Innovation, based in Paris, leading investments in Marketplaces, Consumer Internet, and Direct-to-Consumer companies at seed through Series B, primarily focused on Web3 via the Cathay Ledger fund, a €100M fund for Web3 entrepreneurs backed by Cathay Innovation and Ledger. She joined Cathay Innovation in 2022. Prior to that, she spent four years at Berlin-based VC firms Headline and Cherry Ventures, investing in early-stage startups across Germany, France, and the UK. Earlier, she worked as a digital transformation consultant at Founders Intelligence, advising CEOs and CDOs including Fannie Mae, L'Oréal, and Unilever, and served as an independent board member for Artefact. She holds a BA in International Studies from King's College London and an MSc in International Business & Management from the London School of Economics.
