Maëlle Gavet served as CEO and Board Member of Techstars, the global startup accelerator and one of the world's most active pre-seed investors, from January 2021 until May 2024. Techstars deploys capital into early-stage companies across sectors including fintech, health, and climate. Before Techstars, Gavet was COO at real estate platform Compass, prior to which she served as Executive Vice President of Operations at the Priceline Group, overseeing brands including Booking.com, Kayak, and OpenTable. She also served as CEO of OZON Holdings, Russia's largest e-commerce platform, and earlier as a Principal at the Boston Consulting Group. She is the author of "Trampled by Unicorns: Big Tech's Empathy Problem and How to Fix It."
